Legal goodies, and the fine print (in not so fine print).
SkyAngel Designs is a general domestic partnership registered in Albany County, NY between Amy E. Orr and Cheryl M. Hanes.
Mailing Address: This is available upon request. Since we work from our homes, we really don't want people randomly showing up at our houses without us knowing (it's happened to Cheryl......not funny).
All garments are delivered or picked up clean and pressed.
We accept cash, check, money order, Western Union, and PayPal at this time. Personal checks must clear before garments can be delivered.
A non-refundable $75 mockup fee ($50 for corsets) is required before pattern drafting and mockup creation can be started. This is applicable towards the final price of the garment.
All orders are signed by the customer and either Amy or Cheryl upon placement. This is done to ensure that everything that you want done on your garment is included in your quoted price, and is considered a binding contract. Orders are placed only when fabric choice has been finalized, usually after mockup creation and fitting.
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required upon placement of order. We can work out a payment plan if necessary.
All orders must be paid in full at the time of pick-up or delivery, please (and thank you).
All prices are inclusive of NYS sales tax. We are authorized to collect sales tax by the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance. Our certificate is on display at our office, and we'll be glad to furnish a photo of it to prove our status.
SkyAngel Designs cannot guarantee fit if a personal fitting cannot be arranged. We can guarantee that the garment will fit the measurements given to us at the time of placing the order. So, please measure carefully, and if you have questions, ask!
SkyAngel Designs cannot be held responsible for any weight fluctuations, shoe height or undergarment changes that may effect the fit of the garment. Please bring your shoes that you are wearing and any shape-changing undergarments to the event to the fittings.
SkyAngel Designs cannot be held responsible for any personal injury due to misuse of any garment. All corsets and boned dresses are sent with instructions on how to properly lace in and out of them. Please follow those directions for your safety.
Changes to the design, fabric or cut of the garment after order is placed may result in additional costs and may also change delivery time.
If a garment is needed sooner than originally agreed upon, a rush fee may be required, as follows: If needed within 2 weeks add 50% (corsets) or 30% (gowns), if needed within 3 weeks add 30% (corsets) or 25% (gowns). It is not always possible for us to "rush" an order as there are many factors involved. We will do our best, but delivery is always guaranteed the day agreed upon in the contract.
Upon cancellation of order within 14 days, amount due will be cost of all materials plus $25 per hour work time, if more than the 25% deposit. We cannot honor cancellations that are made after 14 days. Upon cancellation, you will receive an itemized list of what materials we purchased for your garment, and the hours put into assembling the garment. Most fabrics (especially silk) cannot be returned once cut.
