About Our Gowns (non)Use of Patterns

Laura's gown- largerLaura's gown back- largerLet us introduce Rose (yes, we named our dress form) who is showcasing the delightful "Laura" ensemble. We have one picture of Laura in her namesake, which can be seen on the right. Rose, however, will give us a good idea of the beautiful simplicity this ensemble entails.

The "Laura" is the more traditional of the two-piece designs that we feature, consisting of an overbust corset paired with an A-line skirt. The corset can be made in any style, shown here is a flat front with contrast trim that matches the skirt. The skirt with contrasting band features a short sweep train, which can be bustled after the ceremony. The gown featured here was crafted in cream and lilac dupioni.

Laura's gown- larger Laura's gown back w/ bustle- largerTwo-piece gowns have become very popular in bridal for comfort, uniqueness and ease of wear, and because each piece can be worn again as part of an evening or party ensemble. Satin, dupioni, raw silk and taffeta are ideal for this ensemble, and available in a rainbow of colors.

For those cooler nights, or the more modest individual; the "Laura" can be paired with a complementing shrug or shawl.
